I stumbled across this when I was looking for solutions for my &amp;quot;plugged in, not charging&amp;quot; and this was the only one that worked. I tried uninstalling the ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery but never in that order. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I just got windows 7 on my originally vista computer and I think this problem was a side-effect. &lt;/p&gt;
